promises, ever so easy to make
promises, ever so easy to break
words are but cursory?
words spoken hold little value?
words come cheap
actions speak louder I guess
it is always easy to say
but difficult to follow through
so please say what you really can do
and not just speak for the sake of sounding good
sincerity and insincerity
are but barely separated by a thin line
it holds true of so many
from friends to family to colleagues to bosses
how oft have you said something
but failed to deliver?
are promises made to be broken?
like the old adage reads
say what you can do
say what you mean
words aren't meant as a broom
to brush off others
