And so on Monday afternoon....IKEA delivered 2 boxes of Billy bookcases that we bought to store the girls' and our burgeoning stash of books and documents....Both boxes were 2m long...
The deliverymen left them in the room standing upright...and the blur me didn't have the presence of mind to get them to place the boxes lying down on the floor so that they don't topple over.
So after the guys left...laoniang and the helper decided to adjust the boxes...
Laoniang act hero....
One of the boxes was too heavy...
Laoniang's hands miscue....
The huge box toppled over.....
Laoniang's right foot was in the way....
Laoniang tried to siam....
But couldn't siam much....
And so.... the box landed on Laoniang's foot.
The top of my right foot swelled up immediately at the point of impact...There was a line of abrasion as well and a blue black outline formed immediately too....
It was uncomfortable on Monday night but I still made it to work on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday night I couldn't walk much and hobbled alot. Right foot had a throbbing pain on and off throughout the night as well. So on Wed I decided to get it xrayed....
No fracture...which is good...
Just given 2 days MC and some gel to apply to relive the swelling and pain.
In my parent's words...sigh...macham macham...
