Let's say you're building a skyscraper...
You dredge up the ground, you pile it, you pack the foundation..
Then you start building the 1st floor and the next and the next...

Then you suddenly realise.
Damn! The foundation's not stable cos cracks are showing..
You scramble to salvage the situation and hire more people to patch up the foundation...
Things work and so you continue stacking storeys to the structure...

You have 3 teams.
One below to patch up the foundation under the increasing weight of the additional storeys.
Another at the top to continue stacking up the storeys..
And there's the middle team..who's job is well..to support the other two teams, whilst beautifying the structure of the building...

Things start getting heavier on top..
And those at the bottom scramble more..day and night..to no avail...
The building seems structurally unsound..
Almost as if with a light touch..it can come crashing down...

A colleague has said that my mood swings are quite apparent recently. Asked me to control...well...I was pissed and frustrated cos of work...and my take is...as long as I'm not throwing tantrums or throwing/slamming things around, I don't see why I should put a cap my emotions.

I am not disturbing anyone am I? I'm just sitting quietly in my own corner doing my stuff...And unlike some others, I don't start screaming around in office. Period.

I admit I am a person who finds it hard to mask her emotions. If I 'm happy, I'm happy. If I'm sad, I'm sad. If I'm pissed, I'm pissed. There you have it, it's written all over my face. Like it or not...well...that's me...

Finally did my body fat analysis on Friday afternoon at Contours Express..
On the 18th floor of IP.

WOOHOO!! hahaha...I garnered the best results amongst the rest of the girls man! hahha...

Some general facts..good body fat percentage for females would be 15% - 20%.
Fair = 20% - 26%.
26% & above = you gotta do something about it...
Average water composition for women should be about 55% - 60%.

I got 25.3% for body fat and 56% for water composition...
Yay!! Both in the ok category...haa...

The rest of the girls...had their water compositions ranging from 50% to 53%?
And body fat ranging from 31% to 36%...thought quite funny lah...
Ah lian looks damn thin but her body fat percentage is like 34%?

Anyway, me happy! hahha...=)))

Finally...this mountain tortoise has stepped foot into MOS...haa..Went there on Thursday night...
And was given a grand tour by one of the waiters...errr...waitress? errr..butch lah..heh....but a very nice girl...
Brought us into all the VIP l;ounges and the members' rooms...steady..woot woot!

5 main thematic areas..hmm..
1. Studio 54: the retro lounge area...psychedelic dance floors with illuminated colourful lights of red, blue, yellow, green...you get the drift...older crowd here...

2. Hip Hop area: RnB and "black" music...with pulsating groove beats...oh-so-young! I love it! hhaa...crowd's mainly youngsters...and most are guys...some have told me there are more malays here...but I feel it's an even mix of races...Dancing here made me feel young and dandy again!! haha.....

3. Main Dance Floor: Damn big..mainly house music?...people only started to populate the dance floor here at around 12-plus...

4. Pure: as the name suggests..the whole place's done up in white...white cushions, drapes, flooring, walls, etc...overhead lights morph from red to pink to blue to green...the lights can be abit overwhelming initially when you've not gotten used to it...anyway, we were parked here most of the time that night...cosy seats...house music and lotsa posers and wannabes here..

5. VIP lounge and members rooms: only managed to pop in for ahwile...lush cushions and cosy environment..own bar area...the private rooms are somewhat like a karaoke room..haha...comfy seats of red or white...with frosted windows to minimise prying eyes from the outside corridoors...

Aw man...Superband is cool!!
Alot of teams have improved alot over the weeks...=)) An enjoybale 90 minutes spent watching this competition...Looking forward to 1130pm later hehe...to see who goes in and who gets bumped out.

My top 6 fav bands in no order of merit:

1. Brods
What more can I say? Good looks, good bods, great voices. Stage presence is there though it's just 2 people. These 2 brothers really know how to charm their way into the hearts of many. Plus, they are really good at Power Statin's songs. Tonight cover version of "One Night in Beijing" was really good..falsetto was great!

2. Juz B
Phew, they really know how to harmonise man! Each week's Acapella performance never fails to impress me! And being the only Malay band in the whole competition, I think they've out-performed many a Chinese band as well! Tonight performance of Lee Hom's "Kiss Goodbye" really touched my heartstrings...I was screaming in my living room!!

3. Lucify
When I first saw them, I thought to myself.."Kaozz...Jap wannabes"...complete with kohl-lined eyes ad dark eyeshadows. But they've really proved their mettle in the heat of this competition. Today's performance was good and the lead's singing has improved quite abit. Though hmm, in terms of image, I still think they're too Jap. hehe...

4. Snoopy
Woohoo!! They rawk big time man!! Liu De Hua, the lead singer is sibei good in rap and Jay Chou's songs are their forte! Mooz, the one whose face is always painted, simply brings the house down with his fiesty energy on stage and his head-banging skills hahha...I like the turntable scratching thingy that they have...what do you call that again? Can't remember...

5. Soul
When they first sppeared in the first show of the competition, they already gave people the impression that they were a boy band. Superb dancing skills and great rapport give them an edge over the other bands. I think their singing is quite okay though the judges think otherwise. And they really perform with much ease on stage...can tell that they really enjoy themselves up there.

6. Milubing
They're the epitome of youthful exuberance, cheeky smiles and zesty energy. Just looking at them gives you a happy feeling and when they start singing, their sincerity just makes you wanna groove with them! I still remember when they sang MayDay's "Lian Ai-ING" in the 2nd week of the competition...I was jumping along with them! haha...


Hmm...some other bands whom I hope can make it and whom I hope will improve:

1. Jade
They left a good impression on me when I first heard them sing a remixed version of Jacky Cheung's "Wen Bie". But somehow tonight's performance was quite lacklustre...When they sang, there wasn't much groove to it..lack of soul..

2. ManTou
I think the lead singer's has improved quite a bit...he seems much more relaxed and confident now. But overall, there's still something lacking...hmmm....

3. Jing Bao Yue Tuan
Kinda liked them when I first saw them in the first show of the competition..But tonight was abit disappointing.

Xia Ri Feng
Not trying to be bad..but they really can't sing. Maybe some members of the group can. But most of them can't. And the 2 girls in the group...hmm...are really just extras..Though I must admit they put in alot of effort in their dressing tonight.
