I look out through my windows
As rivulets of rain
Cut across them
Forming meandering trickles
My vision is blurred
As I try
To look out into the night sky
Bright pink and lined with fat heavy clouds
Somehow
In that blazing downpour
Of raindrops and lightning
I felt peace
As I sit here now
With the pitter patter all but gone
I feel a strange strange
Sense of surreality
The air still reeks
Of dampness and crispness
I think I shall hit the sack
Slumberland seems a good respite
