Just read Red Biscotti's (or angpia or madbluesky or whatever other moniker he goes by...) blog.
He thinks XiaXue's blog entries are hinging more and more on controversies - planned controversies. Sorta like a "business strategy" to attract more people to visit her site.
He sounded disappointed and to a certain extent, abit disgusted.
Well, can't blame her for that though. A few thoughts come to mind.
For one, she's got quite a few advertisers who pay her monthly dues just to post their web billboards on her site to get exposure to at least 20,000 'eyeballs' per day.
And they, as clients, definitely expect a certain amount of traffic to justify the amount they are paying her.
From a 'business' point of view, of course she has to work hard to get people to visit her site lor...
The other thing is a simple hypothetical theory conjured up in my mind.
Without demand, there'll be no supply.
People (there are exceptions though) love controversies and the more they lap it up, I guess, the more XiaXue feeds it to them.
And well the last thing is that , she simply wants attention, likes attention and craves attention. If this is her way of achieving it, who are we to judge her?
At least she has the guts to air her views, whether they be bimbotic opinions or intelligent analyses.
